Bear Female

I can't resist being a bit cheeky/funny with my post title now and again. so the details are, the digi stamp is from Cuddly Buddly which I've coloured with my Copics. This frame is cut from Damask Decor, the backing paper is from My Minds Eye. I've added a left over cut from Art Nouveau which I shaped to fit. The flowers are made with a Tonic punch and matching CD. The sentiment is a digi stamp, punched leaves and matching ribbon from my stash finish today's card.

Birthday Princess

I've got such a lot on that I wasn't going to post today, however bad pain has stopped me getting on with plans. I'd so little to do to finish this that I thought well why not, turn bad into a good side.
I've not gone for matting and layering this time as I wanted to show off this textured paper which I've just bought from Create and Craft, I so love this pearly embossed one. I'm still exploring Damask Decor and as cup cakes are so popular I wanted to try this one out. It's quite fiddly and I had it put together a few times before I was happy with the look. The lilac card has a sheen to it which I think goes well with the fushia mirror card which I used for the cup cake base and candle, all cut at 4". I added a frosting of glitter dust to the cake topping. The border is cut from Ribbons and Rosettes and topped with pink satin ribbon. I cut the sentiment from Ultimate Creative Series Sampler and added the stars to finish off a card for a Princess. I hope you like it.

Two from one.

The photos could be better, I had trouble with the light. However I wanted to show that by cutting in two colours you can actually make two cards from the same design and in the same colours that still look quite different, in this case Damask Decor. The Love card base is pale lilac pearlised card stock using the shaped card cut. The silver mirror card contrasts well with the pink glitter card on the cut layer for the card shape. I used two small accents from the same page for the upper corners while the sentiment is from Ultimate Creative Sampler cart. I edged the outer edge of the card with a fine line of silver with a gel pen.

For the second card I just reversed the colours and used them on a very pale grey pearlised card which I'd previously cut with a Spellbinder die. I picked up the pink using a Copic marker to fill in the embossed edge. This second card was very quick to make up as the work had been done by cutting the design twice earlier. A very different look for two simple cards. I hope you like them.

Butterfly Bling

I needed bling to brighten this miserable weather! This is a shaped card from Damask Decor, I hid the score lines in DS as I don't like the marks that show when the card is finished. This is not the cut which is supposed to go with the card but it's on the same page, I'm just doing my own thing again. I cut out the butterfly in gold mirror card to contrast with the mat gold of the card. The shadow butterfly is cut in turquoise glitter card which I had to make fit as it's not made for the top layer. It has huge antenna that I didn't want so I cut them off.  I prefer this little wire one then added my own gems, I like the more delicate look with the bling. Inside it a shaped insert left blank as I made this card to use as a thank you card which I need in a few weeks time. I intend making this card again using black card stock for the actual card as the colours look stunning together.

Tea Time

As soon I saw the lovely project on Adel's blog at
 http://adelescricutcreations.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/kiss-teapot-card-for-shes-sassy-lady-dt.html
I knew I had to try it for myself. I don't use DS as often as I should and this project gave me a chance to use it again. The teapot is from Damask Decor which I welded in Design Studio. I decorated the tea pot with this pretty flower from Kate's ABC. I matched my insert to the green in the flower and added touches of gold to the tea pot spout, handle, lid and base with a gel pen. I will add a sentiment inside later when I decide who to send the card to.

Damask Decor again

After Karon inspired me to make the previous card I liked the look of this cut so I've made another card from the same cart. I don't usually make cards this fast as life gets in the way. However my DH is away playing with his tractor and if he can down tools and play then so can I hee hee.
So as before it's the Damask Decor cart, the cut is at 4". The background is done with a Debbi Moore embossing sheet and I used a paper with a slight sparkle, oh I do love my bling! The top layer of the flower is on gold card which has a shine rather than sparkle. I buy that from a local paper mill. I hope you like my creation.

Damask Decor card

I have to give credit to Karon who inspired me to try this kind of card. I used a different cart to the one she used which is one I'd barely looked at previously, Damask Decor. There is a little sparkle to the card as I used some lightly glittered cardstock. The layers are cut at 4" and the background paper at 4 1/2" I've lifted the flower layers with foam pads to add depth. The card itself is a spellbinders die which I've inked round the edges with distress ink and then filled in up to the embossed line with a toning Copic marker to give interest and tone.
I do enjoy reading your comments. Thanks for looking.
