A little magic 1

It seems popular to do a short theme so here is mine. My stamp today is Elf House by Lillyboo designs which I've coloured with my copics. I picked out two browns in the picture to mat and layer. The orange tone paper is by Artoz from an Autum range. This I've layered on top of a bright green glitter paper to echo the greens in the picture. The background paper is from my stash. I've had these leaves in my stash for many years, they are so versatile. I've glittered them and the door and windows to add extra sparkle. I'm not certain I want a sentiment on this card, right now I can't think of anything in particular that fits so I may just leave it until I'm ready to use the card and so have all my options open. However if you have an idea then please do say.

More Bears

I've had this stamp a few years and used it many times because I love it, this time coloured with my Copics. My stash is short on lilac paper, probably because I use it so much so I inked a large piece of white paper to get the colour and used it in 3 places. The patterned paper is from a craft CD and the deeper lilac is from my stash. The stripe background paper is velum. I've used a border cut from Ribbons and Rosettes which I've mounted onto the inked paper. The sparkle ribbon is from my stash and the girls have tiny pearls in their hats. I've added flowers made with tonic pair punches with a touch of lilac added to them with a Copic pen. The sentiment is stamped and mounted again with the inked paper. You will be seeing these girls again!

Stamped for a change

I've not done a stamped card for a while, this is a Clarity stamp. I love this allium but I wanted different. I've used a metallic ink which is really meant for embossing. It's a four colour pad and I stamped each head twice moving the stamp a little to achieve the multi colour I was looking for. I had to wait for ages for the ink to dry but well worth the wait as I did get the metallic finish that I wanted. The mat is a blue metallic textured paper picking out the blue in the ink. Continuing my metallic feel the base card is a dull metallic gold to pick up the colours I've used in the stamp. I've also stamped the sentiment using "thinking of you" so it can be used for sympathy or when you just need to show you care. I mounted the sentiment on the same textured metallic paper and then again on a mid purple/lilac paper which I inked to get it matching. The lace is from one of my favorite carts Ribbons and Rosettes with some narrow matching ribbon from my stash. I hope you like my different kind of card. Thanks for looking.

Vintage lady

I love anything vintage so when I saw this free vintage digi stamp I knew it was for me. My base card is white and I've left the edge showing to pick up with the other white in the card as I wanted a sleek elegant look. I've coloured her with my Copics in one of my favourite colour ranges. The first two mats under the picture are two shades of lilac tones. The background spotted paper is from my stash, this is mounted on textured paper which I've inked with distress ink. The ink has accentuated the texture of the paper while the colour matches the ties on the ladies dress. I usually round off my corners but in this case I've not done as I feel this better suits the style of this era. No sentiment this time as I'm not sure what occasion I will use it for though I do know for who.

Bear male

I'm back! Had a good holiday despite this British summer, ok then non British summer! I took some digi stamps away with me so I could craft a bit here and there.
I've used a dark green card stock for my base card. This is a stamp I bought quite a while ago, it's from a set. I've coloured him with my Copics. I've mounted the picture onto pearlised green paper for a lift seeing as a male card can't have much more. The paw print paper is by Bazoo, the paw prints have a slight sparkle, don't you think it's just perfect for my boy? This I've again mounted on darker tone of green paper with a green border cut from Ribbons and Rosettes. The green stripe background is one I've had many years in my stash. I hope you like my bright and different male card.

Bringing Flowers

This will be my last post for a couple of weeks as I will be away from my craft room.
I've used a pearl purple card stock as my base card. This pretty stamp called Bunches from Mo's digital pencil which I've coloured with my Copics. It's mounted on a 4 1/4" lacy cut from Ornamental Iron. I've embossed a pearl paper for the background. The velum butterfly is cut from Ultimate Creative Sampler which I've glittered afterwards. The sentiment is from a free Wee stamp set also mounted on the same card that I used for the lace. I do hope you like it.

Swinging

Today I've used a Lilyboo digi stamp girl sitting. I've coloured her with my Copics and used colours I've not used before as I do favour pinks and lilacs. I've picked yellow for the card, the background paper is from a CD, The centre stripe paper has an overlay of deep peach ribbon, across it I've layered a deeper toned paper which I've edged with a green paper matching the green in my colouring. I hope you can see this in the photo. The picture is layered on peach and then yellow paper and then on a 5" lace mat I cut from Ornamental Iron. I made the sentiment on my computer.

Oriental card

I'm having fun with the Ultimate Creative Sampler cart. there are just a few from Pagoda so I thought I'd make a card suitable for a male, I chose a narrow style to go with the oriental look. The background paper is an oriental one from my stash, I thought I'd never have a use for it as it's not really my style so never say never. The ribbon is one I kept which had been round a Christmas cake, I just couldn't part with it as it's so bright and pretty, I just love to recycle! I cut the character shadow at 2" and in gold to go with the ribbon. The pagodas are cut from a gloss red tree bark embossed card which adds a little drama to the building effect, the top layers I cut from glittered gold card as the real thing does have lots of gold which sparkles in the sun. I don't think the card needs anything else, less is more on this occasion don't you think?
