New Baby Boy

Sorry I've not posted in a while, to be honest I've been playing with my Cameo trying to learn how to design. sometimes it all goes wrong :-( At last I thought, I had done something worth showing you, took it off the mat only to find it was in two pieces, didn't show until I removed it. Oh well, I have to try or I won't learn but so far more is in the bin than is useable.
So today I'm showing you a very simple card I made in a hurry when I had my Cricut Expression. I cut the shaped card on my Cricut. The paper is from my older stash so not sure where it's from. The image is from way back when I was into ready made images (seems light years ago) but as the baby ones were pretty I hung onto them. I inked the edges of my card with Distress Inks. The ribbon is from my stash, I hope you can see it says "Its a Boy" on it. The die cut is a Spellbinders with I cut on some pretty shaded cardstock. I added a few gems to finish.

Magic part 2

Part 2 of my magic series is a called Dreamer from Lillyboo digi stamps at Cuddly Buddly which I've coloured with my Copics. I've glittered her wings the moon and also the butterfly as it's so right for fairies. The oval die cut and the butterfly are Spellbinders. The lace ribbon is a cut from Ribbons and Rosettes layered on top of pink ribbon. I've used a background paper from a CD with two layers of pink toned paper beneath. The white leaves are a Martha Stewart punch and the pink roses are made from the Art Philosophy cart. I've stamped my sentiment and matted and layered it the same papers as on the card. Pearls inside the roses complete my card. Inside is a greeting on paper from a CD.

A second simple and quick card.

This is a second similar card to my previous post and another sympathy card. The card was cut with a Spellbinders die on deep purple pearl card. The base shadow was cut at 4" in pale pearl card with the main design again at 4" in lilac mat card.  I had to rescue the card at this point as I intended to add a second layer. The card moved on the mat and ruined the last piece I have in this colour so I added a small flower made with a tonic punch. Both these cards were made from my leftover scrap pieces apart from the card it's self.

Flower Friends

A change from my usual square cards today. I love this little quote so I made a card to suit it. The digi stamp is called Coming up Daisies from Cuddly Buddly. I've coloured her with my Copics. I've used a deep pink card base to pick out the pink in the background paper which is from a CD. the lace is from Ribbons and Rosettes, I love that cart as there are so many lovely ribbons suitable for cards. I've inked the paper ribbon with Ranger ink then slotted a matching ribbon through to set it off. the frame for the image is a Spellbinders one and I cut a mat for the quote from the inner piece. I added a few gems to finish it all off. Thanks for looking and  I'd love it if you left me a comment.

2 Turtle Doves

2 turtle doves are from the Joys of the Season cart. A friend lent me this cart and when I saw the birds I instantly thought wedding. I'd intended a white only card but the doves didn't show the detail with white on white so I used the small amount of pink just to pick them out. The embossed background is done with an embossing sheet rather than a folder, much easier not to get the dreaded line where the folder ends. The heart borders and the outer die cuts are all Spellbinders while the inner one is a Marianne die. The pearl paper which I love so much is from our local paper mill, lovely effect but a pain to photograph! It looks creased but in reality it's not. I'll be interested to know what you think.
