Robin

The robin was a challenge to me, firstly I don't have a Copic pen which is truly the right colour but on UK Christmas cards they are usually given a redder breast than the reality. Secondly I've not done feathers before so getting the breast to look right tried my patience! I hand cut my frame which is then layered onto a Spellbinders Fleur de Lise die cut. I've placed a textured blue paper underneath to add depth and colour. My backing paper is embossed with snowflakes but as I've had it a couple of years and lost the cover I don't know where it's from. The flower is made from a Heartfelt Creations die and I've inked the paper and glittered the edges. A pearl finishes the flower. My sentiment is stamped.

  5. Its perfect Pamela - a true British Robin:-) The robins here are springtime and twice the size and definitely don't have the lovely song of the British Robin. This card is wonderful and you did it true:-)

  10. So true hun, their feathers are more orange than red, but this little chap looks very handsome in his fine featheryness. Gorgeous. xxx
