Masculine Birthday

You will never believe it but I had a bike image in my mind as our son is a keen cyclist. I just couldn't get a pleasing result so....I turned to Art Philosophy. The entire card is on page 32. The card base is cut at 8", the layers at 6". There are two layers under the design having a teal mat under the pale blue, not that visible in the photo. I wasn't happy with the decorative layer as it made the card look to heavy so I used the smaller accent instead. The cut layer underneath the accents is teal mirror card which I feel just gives a hint of brightness needed right for a male card. The Cricut let me down when trying to cut the greeting, ripping both the teal card and the mirror card whichever I tried. So I made one in my graphics program and then inked it over with a fine pen to match the teal colour of the accents and the mat under the greeting. I'm happy with the result which is more than I can say for the previous new home post which I deleted. I disliked it the more I looked.
