Brr it's snowing out there. This morning I have my first Cameo file to show you, sadly I can't share it as it's not perfect :-( I had to modify it as I assembled it. Yes of course I could have just measured my card and cut it out which would have been quicker but the object was to play with Studio and learn some of the features. It's cut in my favorite wine coloured card which you won't be seeing again as I can't get anymore. The black check trim card is some card I've had for a long time but never found a use for, I think it looks fine on this though and as it's card it will make the box more sturdy round the edges. I've made 3 compartments and it's quite roomy, I just popped these few things in to show it will hold a lot. Thanks for looking.

Birthday card
My card today is to add to my stock of cards ready for me to choose from when I need. This is another of the lovely Adele's free files. My base card is satin finish gold cardstock with a peach layer of matt paper above cut from a slightly re sized cut. The flourish layer is also by Adele cut in white pearlised paper to give the card a little glamour. I've added a Silhouette cut file Happy Birthday again in pearlised white which I re sized to fit.

Tissue Box Cover
Today I have a tissue box cover to show you. Thanks to Kelly at Finding time to Create for this lovely free file which I've then decorated to suit me. The cut files for the butterfly, the shape mount and the border are all free from Bird's web site, two very talented ladies. As you know I love glitter and bling so my wine coloured (yes I love red wine too!) base card has a slight sheen to it. The Ribbon trim is cut from a textured paper again with a sheen, the outer edge of the butterfly is cut from the same while the inside of it is pink glitter. I've re sized the butterfly to fit my box and the same goes for the border. The outer layer of the shaped cut is the same card as the box itself but in cream giving a nice sheen outline to the shape. The diamond shaped die is from Spellbinders using a textured paper with sparkle. Thanks for looking and your very welcome comments.

New Year, update, I've sorted it!
Happy New Year dear friends, sorry I'm late and I've been a while posting but as you know it's work in progress for my little new "cubby hole". Not just that but one of the bugs going around got me! I'm up and fighting it back ha ha. You will be wanting to know if I've tried my new toy, the very wonderful Cameo and yes I'm thrilled with it. I believe you need to play a lot to learn a new machine and that's what I'm doing in the main. I did have a card to show you. I've used a free cut file from the very talented Adele. However it seems something has changed while I've not been posting and I can't find a way to upload a photo from my computer. I will have to keep trying and post it as soon as I can. Wow, thanks to my lovely friend Karon I've changed to Chrome and it's worked after spending hours trying yesterday. I made this card is 2 colour ways and liked both as much. I've placed gems on this one but they don't show much on the photo, sorry.

Before photos(will make sense when you read)
Happy Christmas everyone! I thought I'd update you as to where I'm at. I've taken 2 photos of my "space" which is part of our hall and the only place I can have. I've done 2 pictures so you can see it's only very small so it will have to be well fitted out. DH doesn't have all his tools here as yet so he can't make a start :-( . I've bought 4 filing cabinets from Ikea that are A4 size, it's amazing just how much they hold. My thinking is that as they are on wheels I can move them if need be so better than a fixed cupboard and being so light coloured will blend in better. I will have a work surface just above the height of them so they can stay underneath. That will be on the right hand side and along under the window at the end. I will also have shelving on the right hand side. The coat rack will be moved. I'm keeping a look out for suitable wall storage on a tight budget but so far nothing. Any ideas? Do let me know please!!!
Also I'm very excited to tell you I now have a Silhouette Cameo! I've only had time for one little play as there is lots to do when you move house but already I can see that my Cricut will take a back seat, might even sell it. However we are very happy here, so glad we took the plunge even though it was traumatic. I'm feeling much better as well, so much of it must have been a combination of being unhappy and stressed.

At last!!!
Hello ladies, at last we are in our new home since one week today! And my first day online after a month offline due to BT making lots of mistakes. We are of course still in a mess but we are getting there. It's all been so stressful but I don't want to think about all the problems we had to face by writing it down, it's best to try and put it behind me and try to move on. My health has certainly improved, hopefully it won't be long before I'm in full working order :-) We all love our new home even though it's half the size of where we were. We've already put more storage in as that's the one think we are seriously short of. I will take some before and after pictures of my future craft room which just now is a passage type thing. My stash is packed in boxes until my DH has fitted my room out, it's down the list right now and I don't have a time scale. Do you think grovelling might push it up the list? The main thing is we are all happy and settling very well so waiting a bit is not serious is it.

More problems
Thanks so much for your good wishes and asking me how things are, I so value your support. We should have been moving this week but the solicitors have messed up so we can't and our solicitor can't even tell us when! It looks as if someone has been lying to us and their solicitor is covering up and going on a very slow speed on purpose would you believe. I'm trying so hard to cope with the stress and now I can't even try crafting as everything is in the packing boxes. The pains have got easier due to the medication but I'm very shaky and the medication gives me sweats. Pressure is really on us now as our new home is ready for us to sign for, we've lost a really good removal deal by having to cancel and the motel we'd booked for the overnight stay has charged us the full price even though it's not our fault we had to cancel. Hopefully once this is all over these bad symptoms will go away and I will be my old self again. Hugs and many thanks to all of you.
